Title: Christmas suxs
Post by: glenn57 on December 12/25/17, 10:21:53 AM
Morning guys. Everyone kinda gets the picture I don't like Christmas. Well add another reason why. Shortly after sue and I get home last nite from my Mom's we get a phone call. Long story short I lost a grandson last nite.

He wasn't feeling good so he stayed home. When my daughter went home they found him unresponsive on the floor. The EMT's did everything in there power but it wasn't meant to be. He died at 22 yeas of age. It's been a really really tough morning

Thanks guys. I really do appreciate it. He hada troubled youth but was working his way out of it. He reached out to my back in Nov, he wanted me to help him get his stuff in order. When I did take him with hunting and fishing I was in my glory and that kid would bust his butt for me. I was so looking forward to spending more time with him.

This is the fourth bad experience I've had around Christmas and it really is hard to see this time of year cone around.

Sorry for your loose. Try to stay posative and ask for help if needed.  Never suffer in silence.  My youngest brother hates his birthday for the same reason.  Every 5 years for the last 25 years someone in the family has died.

Way back when I was 13, I lost my very first girlfriend to a drunk driver.  It was the second week of December.  We worked together, and she had bought and wrapped Christmas presents for me and all our friends at work.  It was so hard going through that.  I feel for you Glen.  I've been there man.  When it gets to the point where it's really tough just to go on, it's time for some professional help.  Glen, if you ever feel like you need someone to talk to, please look me up, sir.  Here's to the hope everyone gets through this, and can try to remember the good times.  It's tough,  but life can go on.   Hang in there buddy.

Man Glenn we all love you and that is why we all tease you.  You are a special kind of guy and it is so nice that you got to spend time hunting and fishing with him.  The fact that you said he helped you or however you said it meant he respected and honored your friendship too.  That may have been his best memories.  Stay strong my friend!  As I said we all love you Glenn.  AND Merry Christmas.  IT IS a good time of year even though it may not seem that way at the moment.  It is a time for reflection of all kinds.  Kudos to you and the wife Glenn.

well yesterday i put my grandson, Dakota, to bed for the last time. that had to have been the worst day of my life. i totally lost it. i was so looking forward to spending time with him fishing and hunting.

his boss came to the funeral home and brought his tools and personal belongings he had at the shop. he worked construction. his boss said he was a good kid, hard worker and enjoyed what he did.

rest in peace grandson, i will miss you forever!!!!!!!!!!

So it was pretty nice over the weekend so I spent time outside. I was told to go ahead and take Dakota's toolbox he had at work. That was a tougher job then I thought it would be. Maybe should of waited longer!; :pouty: not sure if it would of mattered. Still not done with it.

Found out that my uncle Stan passed away in his sleep earlier this week. He was eighty-five and the last of my eleven uncles. Like most guys his generations he was a very nice guy and a fishermen to his last day. I used him in my Lake stories as the owner of Stan and Genie's ice cream truck and he told me when I made mention of him he always got a kick out of it because it was something he could have seen himself doing. Guess it just has not been a good year for any of us.

well 2 months and 3 days later my daughter called to tell me the autopsy report came back. i really struggled wether to post this or not since her and i agreed not on social media.

now she had some long fancy medical/scientific name for it but  in layman's language he had fluid buildup in his lungs and brain. this does put some closure to it, it also explains some of the events leading up to this. when he was at our house dec 23rd he complained of headaches, dec 24th he was throwing up sick and didnt come to my moms. when my daughter and i got to review him the night before the service the funeral home guy said it appeared he had broke his nose and a bit of black and blue under his eyes.....from passing out and falling i'd assume.

it doesnt answer to me how fluids in the lungs and brain that kill what appears to be a normal healthy 22 year old, but then again i'm just a union thug and not a doc!!!!!!
