Title: Muzzleloader Season
Post by: HD on December 12/07/19, 01:12:23 PM
I'm out in the stand... pretty windy, not much moving. Temperature is bearable, but it sounds like that will change come Tuesday.

I was planning to go up north this weekend but with two plus feet of snow my brother said it's a no go.  Can't walk to our stands at all.  I think we are shut down for the year.  Hope you have some luck.  good luck.

I went out this afternoon.  Saw three deer, one nice buck but it was a little late so I let him go.

Walking in the deep snow can really ware a guy down.  At least it does ware me down.  I wanted to do some still hunting but thought better of it.  I didn't want to end up a mile from my truck and not be able to make it back.  So I just went to a stand that's a little over 200 yards from my cabin.  I saw 5 grouse and one deer on the way in but nothing while in the stand. It sure was a nice evening in the woods.  I hope it doesn't snow too much so I can get back out again this fall.
