Lake Geneva 6/16/10 report

Today I hooked up with Joe Genovese and his son Paul. It took 4 yrs for them to return to the nest, but now their back. First thing Joe started reminiscing how good the fishing on the last trip 4 yrs ago. I quickly settled him down and explained "that was then and this is now!" Let's just measure the fishing trip by trip. We had a variety of action today from big gills to largemouth, rockies, perch and Tank size smallies.

These guys forgot how much the big smallmouth can fight and had their hands full with some of them. As usual we averaged 4 to 5 cutoffs from the pike and never even got a peek at one. We fished Carolina and drop shot rigged crawlers in 17 to 18 ft. My guys had a great time and will be back this Fall.

See ya on the water,

Lee

Thanks Dennis.

I really try hard. Yesterday I Left the house at 3:00 am and got home at 7:00 pm after doing back to back guide trips on the same day with a heat index of 97 degrees not to mention the tornado warnings having gone through the night before.

Many mornings I just feel like just pulling the covers over my head and going back to sleep when the alarm goes off at 2:00 am. Then I get folks that say "what a great job to have being a fishing guide, your lucky"  Doah

I do have to admit it's better than wearing a tie to work!

Today I got an unexpected day off due to severe storms going through dancinred

Oh yeah. Those are some nice lookin' fish.
Hope you and the Borg Queen have an exceptional Ely trip with many fish slightly smaller than mine. Can't wait to see the pics.

Thanks Doug. Borgie has her eye on a spot in the top 3 so we'll see how things unfold. She's looking for that 30 inch walleye Fishing2 and I hope she gets it!
