The $5 looks to be doing its job.  It's probably about time I send in my five.

  Once the General rounds up enough change we will have 6 full teams.  Plenty of time for another 3 people to sign up before the deadline.  One thing for sure is TheGreatoudoors will be guaranteed a top ten finish this year.  If he draws someone to carry him he might even make the top 5.   It's a stretch but it could happen.

Greatoutdoors has offered me $200.00 if I'd take him out on Basswood this year. The only stipulation he demanded was that when I get a fish on I'd have to hand him my rod. I told him ok but, It's gunna cost him an extra $50.00 for me to take a photo of him holding my fish. He said ok so I guess he must be even more hard up than I thought.

Well, l I hope this year G.O. has all his boat launching and dock arrangements figured out. Actually he may have made all that stuff up last year now that I think about it. Maybe he should just push the boat out onto the ice and he won't have to worry about launching it.

Lee I got word from Great that he is doing just fine. per your idea he did take the boat off the trailer and put it on the ice... and just to do you better he even put his anchor out!

I was trying to be nice to Lee since he isn't catching anything yet  and was talking about what kind of fish to buy earlier .... My guess its Big Mouth Buffalo...they say they taste a lot like walleye and can buy at Walmart!

After reading "Lying Lee's" post about him having to take me out fishing, I can remain silent no longer.
Every year, just before Lee and Borgie come to Ely, my phone at the shop rings.
When I answer, a voice says, "This is the Perchman, will be there at 8 am, tomorrow morning!"
I then know that Lee is on the way.  At exactly 8 am the next day, Lee's car pulls in.  Borgie enters the shop, wearing a scarf on her head, with dark, wrap around, terminator style sun glasses, and pretends to look at tackle.
I hear a tap on the back door, and open the small, speak easy type port.
It's Lee, casually looking in another direction as he says the secret code, "The Perchman farts at midnight."  I counter with, "It smells like he farted just now!"
We have now established proof of our identities.
Lee then whispers, "Walleye, 9-10 lbs," and slowly walks back to his car.  I get one that I caught for Lee out of the freezer, place it in a plain brown paper bag, and casually walk to the front.  Borgie (aka Madam X) walks up, hands me a envelope with cash in it, takes the brown package and leaves the shop nonchalantly.
The exchange has now been completed, and Lee will soon be entering his "catch" from the northland in the 2014 Challenge, as he has done in previous years.
This is the honest truth, so help me GOD!!

After further review of a prior post I made regarding greatoutdoors I may have been a tad to rough on the guy. Even though all the statements I made were factual it seems that G.O. has taken it all quite hard. Being the type of guy I am, I'd like to make amends to our hero. I remember some years back upon visiting his tackle shop in Ely he was in such a good mood that particular day.

He was just sitting back in his chair watching one of his favorite fish stories on the fishing channel. He was in such a good mood that when I ordered a dozen minnows he actually gave me 14 minnows. Now anyone that knows greatoutdoors can tell you that 14 minnows is a heck of a lot extra in the bucket from this guy.

I'll always remember the look on his face when he returned back to his rocker to watch the rest of the fish flick. It was just like someone had just given him a million bucks. Well, to cut the story short I found that fishing video that meant so much to G.O. and would like to offer it up to him as a peace offering.

Hey Lee, sorry that I outed your "fish catching technique" that you use while in the Ely area, but you were getting crazy with you barrage of posts!!
Now you're trying some diversions to take the heat off yourself, but it's over Lee, the truth is out!

        Next time you get fourteen minnows instead of 12 from TGO be sure to pop your cheaters on and look a little closer at those minnows.  I bet 10 to 1 you got 10 full minnows and two that he tore in half.  I know for a fact that he only does it to the old guys that have their t-shirts inside out so  have Borgie dress you next time you go in there.

In fact, there have been more verified sightings of Jimmy Hoffa and Elvis, than any fish DDS ever claimed to have caught!!
Better luck this year, starting with putting the plug in your boat before backing it into the lake!!

  I was just testing the flotation safety features on my boat.  I couldn't complete the test though.  It came to rest on your atv so it would only sink so far.

I understand that Minnesota department of tourism was using the greatoutdoors mobile as an under water attraction for Burntside lake's chamber of commerce. They even went so far as to install a very life like manikin in the G.O. mobile. Many of the tourists had asked the tour guide why does the manikin has a large lump on his head.
 
When the Ely Echo (news) showed up at The Great Outdoors Bait And Tackle for an interview G.O. said "No Comment"
 
Borgie was laughing so hard when she read about the lump. She said "he must have felt like a fool" I just stated that "Theirs no fool like an old fool"
