Got a few......
The boy and I  went out with the nephews and their boys. We caught a few pike and a bass. Had a lot of fun!  :fishing:

I was out yesterday and saw 6 inches of ice.  The crappies were biting but I had to weed through 20 of them to keep 6.

Diamond?? Kinda sounds like it all the big crappie have been weeded out in the past 5-6 years!! Even spring off the dock 7-8 inchers are about it.There was a time 8-10 years ago 2 1/4-2 1/2 lbers were the norm even a few 3 lbers over a few years! They are gone in the numbers anyway. Then it was hard to get some nice 9-11 inch eaters

I made it out this evening.   9 inches of ice and half ton trucks driving everywhere I couldn't believe it.   I went away from the heard and found a few.

I went out on a smaller local lake tonight and there was 18 inches of ice.  Fishing was slow and we only caught a few panfish and a couple small hammer handles.

adda boy...............braving mother nature. I braved the cold too!!!!!!!!!! stayed indoors most the day. but I did get my man cave cleaned up!!!!

Had a pretty good weekend.  Threw back lots of big bass, big pike, and a few trophy sunnies well over 9 inches.  Phone was dead when I caught a mid 30 inch pike.  Already had 2 pike over 28 inches so she went back.  Also caught a rockbass.

I decided to venture out on a small local lake today.  I unloaded the ranger and loaded up the gear.  I had the entire lake to myself when I began so not knowing the condition of the ice I drilled holes all the way out and had a consistent 12 inches.  After drilling about 50 holes I found them and it was game on.  I would see them on the vex and as soon as you got the bait down bang.  But the funny thing was once you caught one the others were gone.  So it was catch one and hop holes.  Catch one and they were back in the hole you just left.  But boy were they hungry.  I did fish one spot for about 10 minutes as the vex was lit up.  What ever was down there was biting but I couldn't hook one.  Finally I caught one and it was just a tournament winner if DDS was the only other guy in the tournament  ;). You can guess which picture below all those lines on the vex were.  After about 45 minutes once I found them I had a limit.  So what to do  :scratch:  That's right I get on the phone.  Finally found a friend to come out and I watched him catch his limit of crappies.  I did make the lake look like Swiss cheese, but at least if I can get the kids out there tomorrow I shouldn't have to drill many holes.
