So what's with the nice looking turtle shells Glenn? I have thought of putting turtle traps here on the river to see what I could catch.

First he's smoking a bowl, and now judging by that suspicious looking white tube, he's sniffing glue!  :rotflmao:

Seriously, those are pretty cool clocks, dude!  :happy1:

I've looked at you tube cleaning snappers.  Quite a project.  So you make clocks out of them?  How many do you get a year?

They are a beatch to clean. I used to keep them in a tub of clean water for a couple days to clean 'em out (alive) then hang 'em up by tail to bleed after whacking their head off. Pretty tasty...and the meat twitches around in the salt water in the 'fridge...freaks out yer woman!!!   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Morning boys. Cool looking clock Glenn!! Had -16 when I got up this morning. Supposed to start warming up some today. Might even get above zero. It was nice to fish yesterday. It started out pretty slow, but we came in with a nice batch of fish. Had 6 really nice walleyes. So I know what is on the menu this week. Num num! A coupl of good football games yesterday. Hard to go against Brady in the big games. And the Saints had their game stolen from them by the non call on Pass interference. I think a blind guy could have seen that one. Another fine Monday. Just another day in paradise. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gents, -1 &  :snow4: on the way. About 1" today, 3-4" overnight, & another 1" tommorrow for 4-7" total before it's done according to the Bemidji channel. Sounds like the normal January pattern up here to me, either  :cold: :snow5: Got a couple things on the list for the start of today before the snow, nothin pressing so we'll see how it rolls. Hope you enjoy your Monday.

The moon really did get redder after 11.  Cool as heck.  It is -1 here right now.  I'm going to try to get motivated to cut some firewood today.  No big deal but the pile is getting smaller so would like to add to it.  Fun games yesterday.  The Saints got ripped on a few calls yesterday.  Like the 2 helmet to helmet direct hits that weren't called.  Any of them could have changed the game for them.  SO the Vikes aren't the only ones who get bad calls.

Mikey, ya were lookin' at the wrong moon.....

Moon was a dark rusty red here at about 11:30 PM, and kinda chilly out too, at -8. Got a few pics with the trusty Sony. I froze up before it did. Shoulda had a jacket on though. A  T- shirt and sweatpants just didn't cut it
It was -10 this am when I dragged out. Low key day here. Gonna hang loose. Y'all have a good day.

Mornin' gang! About 0 at choretime, heading for a hi in the mid-teens. Likely to blow the fluffy snow we got Friday around w/some 35 mph gusts then add another 3"-5" tomorrow. The eclipse was interesting altho maybe didn't live up to the hype. Was visible thru the trees & did get reddish towards 11 but we had high, thin clouds making it a little fuzzy at times. I shoveled the porch off so it was easy to go outside quick to take a peek then head back inside & warm up. I prefer the eclipses where I can just look out the window. A lot less work!

Perhaps the fuzziness was due to a certain liquid intake?  ;)
