well the GF made a cabbage/pepper hot dish..  she had left over cabbage but not enough to make cabbage rolls and 3 peppers, not enough to stuff..  so she sliced and chopped and with burger and rice it made one heck of a good hotdish!!!!

then my beef roast I made in the crackpot, with RH's gravy recipe, turned out great!!  best beef roast I have made!!!!   thank you RH!!!!   :happy1:

I will be making that gravy way more often!!!

Yes sir, with cottage cheese....I made it last time with the ricotta cheese, and it turned out dry. Muffin head would love it!

Ya, I used to use ricotta cheese before for lasagna but been using cottage cheese since.  To me ricotta cheese  is tasteless and dry.  good luck.

Yup me too.  Used ricotta instead of cottage cheese the last time.  It was so dry that it took the fun out of the lasagna.  Lasagna is usually a special thing too.  AND I have experimented with different canned tomato mixes to get the perfect flavor and haven't got it yet.

I use the "Red Gold" brand.
It's the best one I've found LPS

I will use that too then HD.  Do you add anything to the sauce?  I just can't find the perfect flavor of the sauce and meat combo...

We like our sauce a little chunky. I use a can of the diced tomatoes with Basil, garlic and oregano & combin with some of their marinara sauce. We like a lot garlic, so I add extra to the sauce.
Spose if you like it smoother, you could run it through the food processor.
I think they have some pasta sauce that has different blends of spices as well.
I guess it depends on what you like.

Don't forget that many canned/bottled pasta sauces have a lot of sugar in them, or assorted types of corn syrup.

Are you using beef?  We use mild  Italian sausage with lasagna and spaghetti. With beef I found I needed to add more garlic and basil..

Usually beef but I do like to mix beef with ground pork in things too.
