Orange-honey-apricot basted chicky thighs, chive smashed taters, loaded salad with fresh 'maters and radish slices, lime yogurt fluff for dessert. Danged camera bit the dust.

Ok then, thanks.  LOL  Celery has its own salt I guess.  ??   The "trident" I hear these cooking shows talk about are the 3 things I always use in lots of things.  It is carrots, onions, celery.

Them cajuns use the "trinity" which is onions, celery, and bell pepper.  The rest use "mirapoix" which is onion, celery, carrot.  Just thought you would like to know, and keeping my reputation up.   :sleazy:  :doofus:

Dang!!! I never knew that! Good job, Barry!  :happy1:

Does celery have salt?
With 88 milligrams of sodium per cup, celery has a fairly high salt content for a vegetable.

Good job Delman (my late uncles name).  Ya Trinity not Trident.  AND I did wonder if celery actually had salt in it.  AND celery has that meat preservation chemical in it so when you see hot dogs with 'no preservatives" on the label. they actually have celery juice in them which is similar to the pink salt we use to preserve meat.

SO thinking I will do the pork loin in the crack pot.  Just going to rub it with spices and throw it in with a little water.  OR maybe I will do RH Gravy on it.  Not sure if I should do the gravy right away or wait a couple of hours?  I am thinking about 6-7 hours on low which is still pretty darn hot in our crockpot.  Low will eventually end up boiling some in ours.  Don't want to over cook the gravy???

A pinch of Rosemary goes a long way. I like it on the tato's that are in with the roast.
