Looks great HD.  Correction, it was bear spaghetti sauce, not chili.

Hi Rebs.  They are pretty darn nice.  I rinsed one with water and poured it out and it was already dry.  LOL  Made the spaghetti in the big pan and it worked great.  Rinsed it out and it was clean.  Thanks

I'm making this today.......

German Dinner in a Slow Cooker

Ingredients:
2 rings smoked sausage, sliced into 3 inch pieces
2 pounds sauerkraut
8 to 12 red potatoes, washed and halved or quartered depending on the size
1 onion sliced
6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 apples, cored and sliced
2 bottles (12 ounces) beer
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon caraway seeds (optional)

Directions:
Place potatoes in slow cooker. Next add onion, apples, kraut, and bacon. Place sausage on top. Pour in beer, brown sugar and caraway seeds. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours or until the potatoes are tender.

Yesterdays breakfast from the new pans.  Perfect.  Today had Spam instead of bacon.  That took care of my annual Spam urge....

Baked chicky thighs in my rosemary/sage cream sauce, smashed taters with gravy, Fall Injun corn, pickled beets, onion-poppy seed ciabatta's. First full outta-da-oven Fall dinner... even served on Fall motif stoneware from my Mom's.  :undecided:

Wanted to share this old recipe of mine...may be on the menu this weekend.

               Reb's Apple- pork roast

One boneless 3lb Pork Butt Roast
Two cups fresh Apple Cider
Rosemary
Seasoned salt
Cracked Black pepper to taste
4 oz Cinnamon Apple Sauce (These are the “Snak Pak” size cups)
One large Yellow Onion, sliced thin
One apple, any kind, sliced into 6-8 wedges

Marinate the roast in the cider in a Zip-Loc bag, in the fridge, for 6-8 hours, turning frequently.
Place roast in a greased baking dish, with some of the marinade. Sprinkle liberally with seasonings and lightly with the Rosemary.  Place thin layer of onions on top. Put apple wedges over the onions. Pour apple sauce over top. Put in a 300* oven for 45 mns to one hour, uncovered.  Cover and cook  for30- 45 mns- longer or until meat thermometer registers 150-155*. Do not overcook. Let sit covered for 15 minutes before slicing.
Enjoy!
