I saw this recipe so I had to give it a try. Not bad and nice and spicy. The only thing I changed was I omitted the cilantro and added a little tomato paste.

Coffee118,
Just replace the pork with venison and you got something there.

Just made a big pot of from-scratch chicky noodle. NL (new one) brought me over a big tub of real chicken stock she'd made. She's quite a cook...  Used that and chicken thighs this time, instead of breasts, as I like the dark meat better.  Delicious. *urp*

1 lb chicken thighs, cooked in poultry seasoning ahead of time   (I make my own)
1 cup chopped baby carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped yellow onion
8 cups of chicken stock
1 1/2 cups (dry measure) wavy med egg noodles
1/8 tsp Rosemary
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Pinch of salt, pepper, and dried basil

Put veggies in glass bowl and 'wave on high for 2 mns to soften while stock is heating up.
Add to stock, simmer for 1/2 hour, covered. Add chicky and spices, simmer another half hour while precooking noodles. Drain noodles and add last ten minutes to soup.
Let sit covered  for about 20 mns before serving.

Well, we was in Cub....and they have Italian links they make there. We buy it when we make stuff like this. Mama wanted me to put in the hot instead of the mild this time. I took a scissors and cut the links in to the bite size pieces.

Note: if you want to add the onions, put them in the pot before you put the diced tomatoes in. (Otherwise they lay on top and don't cook)
