There’s An Adventure Park Hiding In The Middle Of A Minnesota Forest And You Need To Visit

With spring on its way to Minnesota, it’s just about time to start planning your summer activities. There are sure to be many days spent lakeside and at least one day at the fair, but what to do with the rest of the summer? If you’re looking for a more unusual outdoor adventure, the Kerfoot Canopy Tour may be exactly what you need. This adventure park lets you glide through the tops of trees. It’s both exhilarating and beautiful, and you have got to visit.

The Kerfoot Canopy Tour is operated by Minnesota Zip Line Adventures. It's located in Henderson, about 50 miles southwest of the Twin Cities. The company also runs a popular zip line tour in Bemidji.

The Canopy Tour is one of the tallest in Minnesota, with a super-fast zip line that will take you sailing through the trees.

The experience involves 14 zip lines - over a mile total - from relatively close to the ground to over 175 feet in the air.

A 170-foot suspension bridge is a highlight of the tour. You will cross it to get from one platform to the next.

Some of the platforms rise high into the air, with spiral stairs winding to the top. You'll feel like you're in a treehouse.

When you reach the top of a platform, you'll have an amazing view of the surrounding area.

And when you step off, you'll zip right through it. This is truly an experience you can't get anywhere else.

To visit, you must be at least 10 years old. That means a Kerfoot Canopy Tour is a great activity for the whole family.

If you're feeling nervous, don't! Fully trained guides will be there to show you what to do every step of the way.

And best of all? If you don't mind the cold, you can even take a winter tour through the snowy treetops.

Not quite convinced? Check out this amazing video of a Kerfoot Canopy Tour taken by a drone:

Kerfoot Canopy Tours is located at 30200 Scenic Byway in Henderson, Minnesota. To find out more about visiting or to make reservations, visit the Minnesota Zip Line Adventures website.

I grew up about 2-miles from here and my parents still live there.  It's turned into quite the operation - good for the area.  Stop into U4IC Brewery just over the bridge in Blakely for a beer afterwards.
