The Snake used to be great! Large channels at the StCroix confluence,Bet thats all built up by now tho? However the Croix being scenic waters the last 40 acres or so to it is suppose to be wild yet?? A road goes there.BUT for channels 10-22 lbs Largest I caught 22lbs from Town of Kettle river (A landing there) to just upstream of the  confluence with the Grindstone,You,ll see the sandy bottom an 3 ft a water an less go back upstream that shallows goes for miles.Catch smallies and eyes all the way, find a good tent site an camp fish cut bait and you'll be surprised.
Over yer way thats the best I know of.
WE sold our campers but will still frequent the MN this year. last year every month it set high water records,Thats bad for the holes we know of and the flats can scatter.
Heres where I check river flowages it helps to know water flowage and over the years I got a sense of what to look for before the 50 mile drive to camp 3 nights in a row

Can I count it if I get my river rescue gear from the fire department and grab one of those 5foot monsters at the bottom of the dams by the lip and drag it up or does it have to by hook and line  :rotflmao:
I'm not insane, my mother had me tested.

It was a monster!! Caught it on 1/2 a beef that died in a tornado while mating wit a cow.The cow was turned into 900lbs a hamburger we just had to skin it and and separate the innards! had two big burgers that night then a fish fry for 2 days straight. No refrigeration then all 6 of us had to eat quickly before it spoiled.YAH Thats how it came down!

HD you toss this out since I didn't read the directions if you like. I thought the staple was a wrench like the other contest. But none the less here is a cat from just below the house. So ya get to see one. This one got tossed back. Jr pry catches 1/2 a dozen of this size a day. We have eaten a few smaller ones this summer. Low heat on the Weber with some butter and onions.....tasty!

Thought I'd try and get a couple people motivated! Jr. Caught a 33" a few evenings ago. Water is getting lower so he's targeting the walleyes now😂
