Cooler water temps and shorter day light hours means that the Walleye action is picking up and the bite will soon be the best action of the season. :happy1:
My personal favorite way to catch them is with a jig and minnow. There is however also a very good trolling bite this time of the season.
Look for points and rock structures that fall sharply into deeper water. I target depths between 18 and 35ft and the fish will tell you where to concentrate your efforts. 3/8 oz multi colored jigs with some bright colors have always worked well for me and larger minnows can be the way to go as water temps get colder.
