No big deal but there are "sayings" that bug me.  My No. 1 bad saying is when someone say's "I'll be honest with you" or just ""I'll be honest" and then goes on with the statement.  Why even say that.  Can't everyone just be honest?  When someone asks me a question or a opinion I say what I know or feel.  Not that hard.  What is the saying's that bug you the most?  good luck.

Goes along with "I won't lie to you".  So, do you lie to others as a rule?

So when you go to a store and after a purchase someone say's "have a nice day" and they don't even look at you.  Now that saying can make a person feel good but when you say that at least look like you mean it and not just be a part of what you are told to say.  I always return to the person and say "have a blessed day" and look right in their eyes.  good luck.

"Oh, it shouldn't take too long".....define "too long". This one always raises the red flag.

I bought a car from a second hand dealer.....after all the paperwork was done, just before I drove off of the lot....he says "good luck".... I turned around and asked what he meant....and he said "we all need a little luck sometime"

I should of never bought the car....  :banghead:

After all the money I dumped into that car.... I understood what he meant.

RH, I believe you are true to your word, but some folks are not.

One saying I'm able to use most often is: "When I'm right I'm seldom wrong" :happy1:

Unlike Glenn's favorite saying that he seems to use daily is: "When I'm wrong I'm seldom right" :banghead:

I just plain like people that are honest and will keep their word to boot!!!

as was said I will say I hope you have a good day as I look at you.  and when asked, like today, how are you?  many times I say just peachy!!!  and I will not say it if it's not there....
a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work!!

The word BUT...

as in you go to school for a conference and their teacher ramblings on how your son or daughter is so good at this and that and well like and she does not know what she would do with out him or her in her class then she pauses. smiles and says BUT

Using the word literally.  99% of the time the word is not needed. It can be eliminated from any sentence it is used in and doesn't change the sentence at all.

Ok, here is one that I hear on TV or especially in recipe forums and the general public that get's me going.  That is AMAZING, it was amazing, looks amazing.  Amazing to me means it's a miracle not a expression but that's just me I'm old school.  It seems when a word get's hold everyone uses it like "cool".  Or like "that guy is really bad" means now adays that guy is really good or the best.  So bad is good  :scratch:good luck.

I can't wait until "Fake News" goes away.

Fake news is supposed to be either false reports that go viral on the internet or news agencies turning certain events into news stories that aren't substantiated by facts or don't warrant the coverage or the airtime.

Now - thanks in large part to our President - fake news means any news story I don't like.
