I am no expert at all on this.   My misguided thoughts on the treaty dispute is that the tribes sold their land but not their rights to it.  Is that right?  I'm not familiar with the treaty and court judgements at all.   I do know that it would take an act by the president of the United States to change the status.  If this is the case I think a lobbyist should be able to convince anyone including the POTUS that when a property is sold you don't have any rights to anything other than past due bills on said property.  If that is the case now would be the time to act.

Yes, in the treaty they retained there hunting, fishing and gathering rights under the luxury of the president. The reason the state stood there ground and thought they would win in court was because a former president had taken away those rights. I can't remember which president it was, but the court said it was not clear enough. I  read what that president had wrote and it seemed pretty clear to me. I agree that now would be the time to lobby Trump to give everyone the same equal rights to hunt, fish and gather. I think Trump would do it. I was really up on this subject when it all hit the fan, but have forgotten much of the info now.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Ya, appears their income is sufficient. I think they've bypassed their traditions just a bit...
