I have some sad news, Bobby (Dan) has lost his battle with cancer.
I have had the privilege to fish with him in the puddle humper, and he joined me on a few excursions on the north shore.....
His stories will be missed, but will live on in this outdoorsman's heart.

In his last post, said he just turned 65. Way too young.

He was so good at spinning yarns and enjoyed when readers participated. He will be sadly missed.

So sad to hear about Bobby.  I didn't know him as long as you guys but he sure did seem like a special kind of guy.  Man the big C is a terrible thing to battle.  RIP Bobby!!!

So sad to read the news. Bobby is at peace now as he fought his long battle with cancer. Everyone will miss the stories from a man that had an immagination beyond most. Some may not know this but, Bobby was one of the co-authores of the Origional MNO Fishing Challenge.

Hope ta run into you someday when my day comes Bobby.

I also enjoyed his yarns.  I's hard to believe you can feel a such a connection with someone you never met.  I also will miss the stories he penned over the past years.  Rest in peace.
