With my words of wisdom, my son, his wife and their son put up a new deer stand.  It was nice to not have to be the first one climbing up the new stand before its locket to the tree.

My son (in the tree tops, later trimmed the branches for better visibility.


Training my grandson to be my driver when I get too old to do it myself.  He put on quite a few miles this weekend.
Much of it on our rough and twisting trails.  He managed quite well.
***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

That looks like you used the 4"x4" by 4' extenders for your ladder, yes?

I sure like the way that raises a standard ladders stand above the deer's line of sight.

Good catch Steve-o, yes I did use the extenders.  They worked nicely in this location as the additional height did not affect the shooting lanes.  I had to cut a few trees and brush to open some lanes to the two main trails passing the stand.
