I can't afford one!!! :doah: never shot one either.

So what's the difference between a crossbow and a compound. Crossbow seems to be more on the lines of a gun only with a shorter range yet a farther range then a compound. Guess I understand the draw back thing but..

they are awsome tonshoot.accuracy on a rest is that of a gun out to 40 yrds pending bow. energy quickly demminishes after that also, they as heavy as a rifle,  so off hand shooting is to be practiced. regular compound vs cross bow.......compound is farmore accurate than crossbow off handnshooting.

Thanks bud! :happy1: I was under the impression that they had a kill zone and accuracy out further then 40 yards??

You aren't really much into archery, are ya?  :azn: Crossbow is a horizontal pull set up like a "rifle", with a "stock", and a trigger release and locking mechanism. Compound bow is hand-held vertical pull bow, enhanced by pulleys to give maximum lbs of draw weight, while making the pull easier thru the use of the same pulleys; hence the name "compound" bow.
