We had gunfire down here this weekend and three juveniles robbed a liquor store at gunpoint. I wanna move outta here as soon as I can......

Well, the juveniles went in, grabbed some bottle and ran.  When pursued one flashed a gun looking object.....  Da Yoots and aspiring rappers need their Hennessy.

Lucky for the liquor store guy that he didn't blow them away ...  He's alive, and not faced with demonstrations and lawsuits and possible charges.   Or PTSD for killing a kid...

CVS, Walgreens urge against openly carrying guns in stores

September 5, 2019

NATIONAL NEWS FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, TOP STORIES
NEW YORK (AP) — Drug chains CVS and Walgreens as well as grocery chain Wegmans Food Market have joined the chorus of retailers requesting that customers refrain from openly carrying firearms in their stores even where state laws allow it.

The announcements made Thursday follow similar moves by Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer, as well as Kroger earlier this week. Starbucks and Target have already asked customers not to openly carry guns unless they’re law enforcement officers. The retailers stopped short of introducing an outright ban because they say they don’t want to put their employees in confrontational situations.

The moves come after a string of mass shootings, including one last month inside a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, which killed 22 customers, the deadliest in the company

Oh yeah, that should really help prevent those people contemplating mass shootings from doing it in their stores. I can just hear the thought process from one of these potential time bombs: "Gee, since their policy is against carrying and shooting up the place, guess I'll have to find someplace else." :doofus: More like: "Hey, thanks! Now I know where there's a target rich environment with little danger of anyone returning fire at least until the cops get there. And as the saying goes, when seconds count the cops are only minutes away."  :bs: Just another butt kissing move to placate the masses who don't understand that more rules are not going to solve the problem.

Constitutional carry??! WTH ya get that one? As previously discussed many times, Minnesota is an open carry state.  Most don't, because those that DO carry aren't that stupid to open display and become the first target, or get people riled up.

Mine was Seagrams VO, Miller Genuine draft, and a Grain Belt/Rolling rock once in a while.  That was all I drank.  None of this Sam Adam's tootsy-frootsy "change with the seasons" goofy crap. "Spring botanicals, with hints of lemon"... :puke:

So, can you open carry in Minnesota without a CCW?

Ahh god....NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Didn't you read the laws?!   :banghead:

Minnesota is an open-carry state, but does not follow traditional open-carry laws. A special Minnesota permit is required to open-carry. You must have a state carry permit for either type of firearm, as Minnesota gun laws do not prohibit carrying long guns such as rifles and shotguns as long as you have a permit.

So a person needs a special permit as opposed to the states that allow open carry without a permit...  aka Constitutional Carry.

So, what's next?  The government issuing you a permit to go to church, or express an opinion?

I love this line by the self-promoting director of this place....

"It's a very hot city right now," said Lisa Clarke, executive director of Destination Medical Center. "People want to live here, people want to work here, people want to play here."

                                 :laughroll: :laughroll:

Yup. That's why business after business is pulling out, due to the taxes and assessments...

https://www.kaaltv.com/news/construction-costs-residents-and-businesses-thousands/5310849/?cat=13463

And yday, paper ran an article that there just is no more affordable housing here; rates are (quote) "Skyrocketing even more"... apts are median of $1350 a month, median home price is now $267,000...........

More than likely it'll soon be....
