I caught 8 nordskis today.  4 under 26 (slot) and 4 over, one was over 30 inches.  Fishing in 6 feet of water with the bait about 1 foot under the ice.  Actually saw one bite and had three others bite when I had the line in my hand.  Cool stuff.  Although I did have a portable house with me, I didn't set it up.  Hard to take a good selfie when the fish are so big.   :rotflmao:

Good stuff there!! People don't give nordskis enough credit! I love tip up fishing them as well as the classic, "What the heck is this monster on my line" when walleye fishing.. You get those Y bones out and you got some of the best eating fish ever IMO... Even if you don't get rid of the Y bones... Still the best flavor fish around.. Just a little harder to eat! Thanks for the post!
Where did I catch all these fish you ask??? right in the lip....

Grown to like 'em for the table more that last few seasons but it's hard to catch any here that are worth cleaning.  Lots of 'em < 22" & I've caught 1 > 26" in the last 10 years.
