How cold was it???
-41 F this morning on Farm Lake in Ely, Minnesota! Very, very cold... but no wind. Since the sun was out, we took advantage of the extreme cold to get our first images before harnessing up the dog teams. Tossing hot water in the air vaporizes instantly.
Oh, by the way, no me.  I saw this on social media and thought I would share.

CAWchester is shutting down....can't take the cold.  :rolleyes: In fact, so cold, the asst city attorney had to get drunk and drive to keep warm. What a #1 city.   :doah:

Rochester deputy city attorney pleads guilty to DWI


Rochester's deputy city attorney pleaded guilty Monday morning to a charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

David Goslee, 60, pleaded guilty in Olmsted County District Court to a gross misdemeanor DWI — operate motor vehicle — alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours, according to court documents. Goslee was arrested during the weekend on the charge.

Judge Christina Stevens granted Goslee a stay of imposition and sentenced him Monday to two years of supervised probation. Goslee was also sentenced to two days in jail that he has already served, according to court records.

Dat's when da male ash tree in the front yard cracked open! I heard a loud pop on my trip to the barn that nite. Thought nothing of it until on the way back I noticed an odd looking vertical line on the tree trunk. Got a flashlite and saw it was split from the soil surface all the way to where it branched off. Was a nice tree & being a male, there were no seeds. Had to take it down.  :sad:

you should sit out a deerstands when it's cold. Them poplar really pop. Almost as loud as Reb!! :rotflmao:

My deck is popping! And the house is having a few errant cracking noises too....but the wind is still hitting 30 mph.. :angry: CORRECTION: Just said it's gusting to 39 MPH
