The Fenwick eagle (5.6') would be nice on that...the next size up, a 6', is ML action. I'd stay with the 5.6 for the UL Reel, if it's a President 6725....which it looks like. Just my .02.
Had two eagles, but I find them just a tad too stiff for me. Nice backbone, though.
I just like a bit more lighter tip in the UL. St Croix has some nice ones.  :happy1:

One of mine is on a St Croix UL, and the other on a Gander pro-guide series 5.5' UL. The pro-guide were pretty good rods. Great crappie rod!  Shimano has some nice rods, too. I like the ceramic guides, but have a tough time finding them anymore. Like I need more rods and reels anyway.

We got a great deal on our St Croix rods as my brother ordered some(2UL, 2ML) for Christmas from Reeds & they must of been closing them out as they sent us more than we ordered.  :happy1:

I used to be a big fan of Fenwick, but now they are made in China.

Now I prefer St. Croix.  St. Croix's high end stuff - Legend, Avid, Premier - are made in Park Falls, WI.  Their lower end stuff is made in Mexico.

Gunner, good timing on the Reed's purchase.  I just went on their website and they don't list any St. Croix items for sale.

Nice reels Glenn.  I took a rod building class here a few years ago and bought a St. Croix blank to make mine out of.  My favorite rod.  Got a Shimano reel for $100.  Great combo.  Now I won a custom rod from a guy who makes them here.  I need a reel for that one now.  Thinking same price range for it.  Both are MH rods which I like for jigging here in the river.  I will check out those Glenn.

Yeah Steve-o, this was quite a few years ago when we got ours, I checked the next  :fish2: season & they only had some other brand then. Think  ours are Premier & usually what I grab 1st :happy1:
