Bear falls on patrol car!
« on: August 11, 2019, 07:33:49 AM »
Bear falls on Northern California patrol car!

  As in, having your patrol car struck by a falling bear.

 :coffee: .....
Authorities say a Humboldt County sheriff's deputy was driving on Highway 96 on Aug. 3, answering a report of a drug overdose in the community of Orleans, when the bear fell or jumped onto the car, apparently from a steep embankment.

The bear smashed the hood and windshield. The patrol car hit an embankment, rolled onto its side and burst into flames. :doofus:

 :police: .......
The deputy managed to escape without serious injury. The fire was contained to about half an acre but the car was gutted.

The California Department of Transportation noted: "Don't worry, the bear also fled the scene."

This Aug. 3, 2019 photo from the Hoopa Fire Department shows a Humboldt County Sheriff's Department patrol car after it was struck by a falling bear and then hit an embankment, rolled onto its side and burst into flames, near Hoopa, Calif., in Northern California. The deputy managed to escape without serious injury. (Rod Mendes/Hoopa Fire Department via AP)

Hmmmm...."Brakes" into house....was he driving a car?

Bear brakes into house, leaves by pushing through a wall

NATIONAL NEWS FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
DENVER (AP) — A black bear broke into a Colorado house over the weekend and left by breaking through a wall “like the Kool-Aid Man.”

Estes Park police say the break-in occurred Friday night and that the animal was likely attracted to trash.

A Facebook post by the police department said: “Upon officer’s arrival, said bear forcibly breached a hole in the wall like the ‘Kool-Aid Man’ and made its escape.”

The Denver Post reports no one was injured.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife said bears entered over 35 vehicles and nine residences in the Estes Park area in the 10 days before Aug. 3. Residents were encouraged to close and lock all doors and windows to homes and vehicles.

So, how did the Sheriff's pee & blood test come out?   :rotflmao:

Cooking over a open fire is all fun and games until someone losses a wiener!
