I'm not always the sharpest pencil in the box.

But, how do you have a GOAL of 100%?

Why not just say we need to re-introduce some Deer into this wasteland Zone!

And what the H2ll is below "social acceptance"?  They use to say things like "hunter capacity" pansies!

↑ increase significantly (100%)  Very low deer numbers well below social acceptance.

I think that means there are no deer up there, hunters are pissed, and the goal is to double the herd.

You have to read all the info on deer density goals to really know what was done and why.  It's quite a complicated process involving hunters, foresters, general public etc.  All data then helps determine what deer density is best suited for the general area.  If the current density was say 6 deer per square mile and it's felt there should be a few more, then up 25% was recommended.  Cheers.

When the deer density planning started, I attended a lot of their meetings. Although I was not on one of the committees I personally knew 4-5 of the members.  Through them and subsequent informational meetings I learned a lot about how they had managed deer and what they plan to do in the future.  Also a lot of information was published on the subject.  Not saying I agree with it all but they have made a big effort to include all aspects of deer planning.  Of course, CWD threw a big wrench in the works and has taken a lot of the attention away from the overall deer plan.   :pouty:
