Flores did what u want a coach to do.  He took a historically bad defense, created a scheme that worked with the talent they had, and he had them over achieving for much of the season.  They just ran out of horses at the end.

 I do think they missed Wonnum last night though as he's our #2 sack guy with 8. That allowed then to double team Hunter more, if they needed too.

But most importantly did the Packers send out the correct personal for the coin toss?  :rotflmao:  Just kidding, the Vikings didn't play well at all is the bottom line. There's always next year. Keep the faith.

I truly thing they threw the game to increase the draft pic.  Why not?

One thing the Vikrs don't have to do is throw a game. It comes pretty natural for them.

I've heard a few people say that. I think he gets particularly tiresome when your team is losing.

It is looking more and more like Kirk Cousins or bust for the Minnesota Vikings at QB in 2024, though a dark horse candidate to assume control of Kevin O’Connell’s offense has emerged over the past month.

The Cleveland Browns have clinched an AFC playoff berth on the strength of a four-game win streak captained by resurgent quarterback Joe Flacco, who has thrown for 300 yards in four consecutive games. Before signing with the Browns, Flacco reached out to the Vikings and expressed his interest in joining the franchise following Cousins’ achilles injury. However, Minnesota rebuffed the quarterback, which has since proved a considerable mistake.

Flacco is bound for free agency in March and has already announced his intention to play for two more years.

as Collinsworth said, God I got sick of listening to him...

Amen, brother. Long, long ago I liked him, but that changed more every year I’ve had the displeasure of listening to him.

Yeah, I like Nance & Romo too. Surprisingly, I don't mind Aikman & Buck either.

I've tried that but up here there is a lag of a second or two the last time I tried.  That drives you nuts.

Flacco's signed a $2.5 mil/1 yr deal with the Browns. With incentives he could make another $4 mil if they win it all. I seriously doubt the Vikings could make him an offer like that. Especially with Mullens, Hall, & Dobbs already getting a bit > $4.5 mil combined.

Dobbs is a free agent. Won't be back. Might as well cut Mullins. Then they would have enough to sign Flacco for 2 years. No Dobbs, No Mullins, AND no Cousins.

 I was talking this season. Yeah I agree, Dobbs & Mullens should both be gone & that will free up some $. Mullens does have another year left @ $ 2 mil, so it would probably be better if they could trade him. But I also think Flacco's price will go up after the season he's had as well. Last but not least, I believe Cousins comes back.

You shocked me Glenn.  LOL BUT I was down on Cousins too and I have done a 180.  I hope his Achilles heals properly. He is a health nut so should go good.  They may be afraid to have Flacco around in case he does do well and then what do they do???  May create a lot of stress in the future. Like at the end of this season if we would have gotten him.  Who knows.  I don't just speculating

My wife had something intelligent to say over the weekend while I was watching football. I get a bit riled up about all the antics that go on from the Swifty nonsense to Cousins going shirtless blowing the horn to the stupid antics after a play. She said the NFL isn't about the game of football   it's just entertainment. Sad but true, she is correct.

I kinda liked the shirtless-Cousins bit.  It showed he doesn't take himself too seriously.  I enjoyed the peek behind the curtains (beginning with the plane ride tik-tok video) with Kirk wearing the chains and acting like a goof and watching it as it evolved to the Galler Horn thing.
