If the Queens eek out a dubya, anyone know who all has to loose for dem to get in da playoffs?
 So...............................you say there's a chance? There is....................but it looks slim to none to me.  https://www.vikings.com/news/nfc-playoff-picture-status-after-week-17 :pouty:
For what it is worth...

Besides the Vikes needing to beat the Lions to have a chance to get into the playoffs with help from other teams losing...

NONE of the other four games that played a factor in the fate of the Vikes elimination went in favor of the Vikes.  :doah:

It's official: The Minnesota Vikings will pick 11th in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Having started the day in position for the 12th pick, the Vikings had a chance of ending the day with a Top 10 pick after losing to the Detroit Lions in the early slate.

They moved up to 11th thanks to the Las Vegas Raiders' defeat of the Denver Broncos, but the Green Bay Packers' beating the Chicago Bears denied the Vikings another move up to No. 10.

Hopefully we'll find out what it takes to move up from 10 to 3, 4, or 5... assuming the vikes are serious about drafting the qb of the future with or without #8.

Wonder if they couldn't dangle Bradbury,  someone must need a third stringer somewhere..

He has gotten better and put on weight and muscle but still just too small.  Remember Curt Lowdermilk?  He was here as center for years and he was one big guy.  He plugged the middle hole just by being there.  Remember the Williams boys on D?  They also plugged holes just by being there plus they were athletic and smart too.   We need meat on the lines or the backs just have to work harder.

Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah on Wednesday provided a clear answer when asked if he wants Cousins back as the team's quarterback next season.

"Yeah. I've been pretty consistent with that. Kirk the player is somebody that, as we saw what he does to this team, I thought we were playing really good football before he got injured. It's the most important position in sports. It ultimately always comes down to can you find an agreement that works for both sides and all those things, but as a player it's certainly my intention to have him back here," Adofo-Mensah said.

Spielman said the same thing... "its my intention to bring back so-and-so..."  and the next week they were gone.

All GMs say the right thing, which may or may not have anything to do with how things turn out...  it all depends on how they turn out.   :coffee:

Vikings will give up 1 home game and play it in London again this year. Don't know when or against who yet. So they will be the home team.

Considered one of Kirk Cousins‘ closest confidants and study partners in the Minnesota Vikings quarterback room, veteran Sean Mannion has closed the books on his playing career and crossed the border, joining the Green Bay Packers as a coach next season.

SO maybe Cousins to the Bears and the Pack didn't want his hand holder to go with him.   ?????

Do the Vikings have the best NFL team name?

Viewers of Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast think so.

The Kelce brothers did a best NFL team name bracket in which they posted polls on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to see who their audience thought boasted the best name in the league.

It came down to two finalists — the Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Vikings won the final with 60.6% of the 36,919 votes.

“You play in Minnesota, that’s a fun place to play in, man,” Travis said. “That’s a beautiful stadium, their crowd gets (expletive) into it and they’re not pricks, they’re not (expletive), they just (expletive) love some good football, baby.”

Travis said Vikings is a great name and gave a shoutout to the Skol chant.

The stoic, nordic Vikes lost some of their mystique and cache when the moved in doors, but they do have a good thing going now with one of the best stadiums in the league.

The goal is to put butts in seats, thats the first goal. There wouldn't be butts in seats in a outdoor stadium. The state and populous is soft, very soft these days.

I disagree,  football fans would show up no matter indoor or outdoor  games. Look at the playoff game at the time of TCF stadium. In ways we've turned soft,  but playoff football brings out the hardy.
