I have a 2014 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins that has been a surprisingly good truck. 350,000 miles. Thing I like about the Cummins is it's a solid motor and it gets great mileage when not towing, 20-23 mpg. Depending on what you tow it's 10-14 mpg.

Of course I am a chebby(GM) guy like someone else on here. If you want power then diesel is the way to go. I think the bouncing has more to do with lack of weight in the back end.

I guess I'm not familiar with the hop issue,  but what I hate is the friggin traction control they invented.  Can't hammer it down in snow unless you hit the button, then it's go time.

I just read that the wheel hop is the axle twisting the springs and then snapping back. A lifted truck would do it worse in my opinion.  More flexible to twist.

Boar, disinguage the trucks stabilitrak in the snow, further torsion bars are front suspenion on H.D. trucks, wheel hop occures on dry pavement turning when truck is in 4x4.hope this helps.

Yes sir. Look on youtube for a video by Truck master. He shows the before and after of what traction bars can do.

Also the bigger the tires the more traction which leads to more twisting/wheel hop too.

Something that needs to be added on. Not sure if it would help with snow plowing though.

Ouch glenn, poor Boar was playin nice.lol, at least ole Boar drives a cheby...

Boar,

I would put a newer truck purchase on the back burner if ya can for a couple months or longer, like new used vehicles are getting premium prices due to lack of inventory nation wide, dealers short on inventory are paying retail prices at our auctions, crazy times in the auto business right now.

FYI

Big meats are good in some conditions and not in others.  You may be trying to push those big meats you have on front and it is like plowing so the back end is twisting up trying to push the front half.  The traction bars may help a lot and aren't hard to install.
