Confirmed: New World Record Black Crappie Caught in Tennessee
A larger than life crappie gets caught in East Tennessee. The giant weighed in at 5.46 lbs and is confirmed as the new Tennessee state record and possibly the new world record.

Genetic testing revealed that the black crappie that Jam Ferguson caught in May, 2018 is indeed a new world record.
Spring time is that short window where many anglers take advantage of the crappie spawn and the adrenaline-rushed bait thump that they bring. Big crappie are enough to send many anglers into a frenzy. And this possible new world record crappie is about to take the fishing world by storm.
An absolute giant of a crappie was caught in a pond in Paint Rock, East Tennessee by angler Jam Ferguson. That giant weighed in at a whopping 5.46 pounds.
For those of you who aren't familiar with crappie fishing or fishing in general, this is groundbreaking. Absolutely huge. The fish is now the World Record Black Crappie.

It is the new state record for Tennessee as well as the New World Record Black Crappie.
What an incredible fish and catch this is. A 5-pound bass is a trophy enough, can you imagine reeling in a 5-pound crappie?!

So funny!! I was just at Scheels in Fargo and looking at the Replica mount of the world record crappie and was thinking how cool it would be to catch that one! This fish is a beast!!!congrats to the fishermen! Love it.

Awesome fish! :cool: What a pig, look at the belly on that thing. With that shape it looks like a LM bass.
