 They have him listed at 1b but they said he'd gotten better at laying off the breaking stuff away too. Then he struck out swinging on the 2nd 1 he got .

Well.....Twins pitchers were throwing batting practice and their hitters left their bats at home today.  :surrender: :surrender:

We don't get BSNOR down here, but I peeked at the box score & it was ugly. :puke:

If it is a quad they will be very very cautious with him. They can go on for months being a problem.

Bad news is he got hurt, good news is they have depth in the infield.
Report: Royce Lewis missing 2 months likely a 'positive outcome'

The Twins have said Lewis will miss at least a month and now The Athletic's Aaron Gleeman is saying that if Lewis misses two months it "would likely be viewed as a positive outcome" and that the Twins "need to be prepared to play most or perhaps even all of the first half" without him.

Where is the hitting????

Twins are averaging 2.8 runs per game.

Only team worse in MLB are the White Sox at 1.6 per game.

Leaving lots of guys on base.  At least a few games ago they did.

:pouty: Way too many strike outs too, 29 & 20 LOB in 2 games last weekend with Cleveland. :doah: It's only early April.

I know its a cliché, BUT...  the games in April count as much as the games in September.   :bonk:

Twins 4 games back 11 games in* ain't a good start.   :doah:

*Guardians are 11 games in, Twinks have 2 games in hand.

Guardians lost Bieber and maybe their hopes with him.

Twinks took todays game behind 2 homeruns from Julian and a great relay to nail Ohtani at the plate.

Paddack was good again today.

I'd love to see Paddack go a little deeper but they'll be watching his pitch count real close since he hasn't pitched much in 2 years. Those 5 out of the bullpen that pitched today have been pretty good this season so far. Get away day today as they have 4 in Detroit this weekend, be great to see 'em at least split out there.

Twins win 2 & Cleveland loses 2, KC now leads the division. Ryan pitched well enough to win but didn't. Correa went on the 10-day yday too.

I was listening to the Tigers feed on XM Radio yesterday and their radio guy Craig Monroe (former player) said those oblique injuries are usually a 4-6 week thing.

Ryan was certainly on his game yesterday with 12 strikeouts. But once again the offense sucked until the 8th inning. 11-5 final score is mis-leading as they scored 7 in the top of the 12th when the Tigers fell apart moreso than the bats coming alive.

But, a sweep is a sweep. But to avoid a series split they have to win today.

Twins got lucky.....playing a 12 inning game and scoring 7 runs in the 12th with only 1 hit. Missing 3 starters. Plus their bullpen shaky with a different closer basically in every game.

Had to call up a starting pitcher for the second game giving him only his second major league game. But some times everything goes right.

Just shows how winnable this division is. Detroit has some pitching, a very good manager but very little else. They are still saddled with Javy Biaz's contract.

KC will fade as there pitching will falter and their bats will cool off.

Guardians ever without Bieber will be the team to beat. They have just enough hitting and pitching to prevent long slumps.

The White Sux will provide Gold Star entertainment for me all summer as they are a complete disaster.

I'm concerned for Ryan to make it all year without blowing his arm apart and needing Tommy John. Keep your fingers crossed.

I see he threw 96 pitches yday, 70 for strikes. That's a lot for this early. It looks like he was ahead in the count most of the day too, as he was 18/26 on the 1st pitch.

The number of pitches is one thing. But they said on the broadcast that he is upto mid 90's now on his fastball. He use to be a 90 or low 90 guy. He also is really pounding  his slider (what they now call a sweeper) and some for of a split finger for his strikeout pitch. Thats alot of torque on the elbow on the off speed pitches along with the force of the fastball.

I hope he holds up but looking around the league these starters are falling like flies.

Bull pen blew it today for Ober. He had his best start giving up no runs through 7 innings. Then bullpen gave up 4 in the 8th to lose it.

Those are tough games to gag away. Thielbar got charged with 3 of those 4 runs.

Correa's injury has officially been changed to a mild right intercostal strain, after he had an MRI. Still listed as on the 10-day IL.

I watched my first game of the season tonight and had a tough time recognizing players in the lineup.

I like Corey Provis on the TV broadcast.

Can tell why Baltimore has one of the best teams in baseball. Good hitting and good pitching. You can see why they won over 100 games last season. Twins right now with all the injuries aren't close.

The Twins 100% healthy aren't on the same plain as Baltimore. All those seasons of 100+ losses and tanking brought them some very good players. Their GM Elias is very good and there manager manages to win games not to play by the numbers.

If I recall Elias came from Houston.

The Twins hitters are collectively hitting .196 is the second lowest through 17 games for any American League team in the last 50 years. The lowest is the 2003 Tigers. And that team had the worst record in American League history finishing 43-119.

4 Game losing streak.....but they can't lose today. :happy1:

Because they have the day off.

Sounds like Duran is close to coming back. :happy1:
