Born in Smiths Mill is free of ice. I would say Madison is 50% and rapidly decreasing!

Fox lake in southern minnesota , I was told is ice free.

German has some serious open water forming in the middle, and Romehildts is looking very very rough open water around the whole lake with just some ice in the middle.

Madison is about 90%open this morning.

saw the first barge of the season heading up river through Red Wing yesterday...

St. Olaf was about 1/2 open this morning when I drove by. Lots of floating ice yet then.

Welcome cliff! most of all lakes around southern minnesota are open! a little ice by shore in some bays but it won't last long!

Mayhew is BLACK and receding quickly.

Some guy went into white bear lake today, looks like black ice
out there. A cable guy heard his call for help and was rescued.

I was gonna get out on Chisago this weekend before the rain hit... was my last shot at hardwater... unless I head up north a bit.... I think Im done for the season though... :surrender: :cry: Time to start busting clays I guess! :happy1:

mines gonna be out there tomorrow it aint much bust any ice thats left over will get crushed by my boat if any one is gonna be out i'm the one that is camo painted and the name is WIFMI?

South side of German still has walkable ice atleat 6 inchs of soild ice. I would NOT recommend ice fishing! waves are moving under the ice and it wont last long. Also east side of frances has some big big sheets of floating ice.
