Title: Tick Removal tip
Post by: Bobby Bass on March 03/30/09, 09:33:11 AM
Tick Removal:

Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the
soap-soaked cotton ball And let it stay on the insect for a few
seconds (15-20), after which the tick will come out on it's own and be stuck
to the cotton ball when you lift it away. Safe for pets too!!!!!  :happy1:

Very good tip. I remember hearing that one years ago, but had since forgotten it.

Question:

Will that same trick work on some people when they tend to get under your skin or do we have to contact Marsha from the marsh for some Voodoo.

Please advise!

Vasoline works too... the idea is both suffocate the tick and they let go eventually... problem is, that stuff is at home in the cupboard or on the counter, by the sink, and not on your tailgate of yer truck when ya need it.... both work though! :happy1:

Seems like an easy way to get them off. Last year I had 2 deer ticks on me, and I have never had one before, but I have had lots of wood ticks. Don't you just hate the feeling when you feel/see a tick!
