A pretty straight forward question to answer: What is the most important hunting lesson you've learned?
-
Don't try to un-cock the hammer on an older lever action 30-30 with gloves on. :doah:
-
SLOW down then slow down some more...
-
when a doe comes in looking behind her.. you should probably look behind her too.
-
if you have a gut feeling go with it and it will usually play out good for ya
-
Shoot before Red does! :rotflmao:
In all seriousness, I agree with Bobby Bass......SLOWDOWN! Regardless of what you are going after. Whether it means in actions or thought....think, breath etc...haste makes waste!

Dont try to open a beer with a loaded gun in your hands.... Just kidding... Never point your gun at something you dont intend to shoot.

Always remember to put a round in the chamber after you get into your stand. If you forget you will only hear a click when you pull the trigger. And if the deer hears it all you will see is a white tail as the deer runs away.

Make sure your gun is LOADED before cutting through a promising bit of grouse cover.
