Fishing was sporadic the last five days, with most fish biting lightly.
Crappies were active on Birch Lake with people taking limits of nice size fish.
Walleyes were a different story, and shut down on most lakes.
Small pike are still hitting, and Bass were seen moving onto the beds earlier today.
If temps stay warm, Bass fishing should pick up dramatically within a week.
Best bets for catching fish at the present time are leeches fished slowly with light jigs, or with plain hooks with slip bobbers.
May Flies have been coming around lately, and could continue the decline in walleye production for a bit longer.
Wish I could give a more positive report, but it is what it is!
