Water temps have warmed on the surface dramatically, but stay cold down around the 15 + range which is slowing the catch.
Several nice Walleye are being caught in Burntside, but are few and far between. Snowbank, Shagawa, Birch, and other area lakes also report poor fishing. :banghead:
I've checked many areas (reefs) with an underwater camera where fishing is normally very good, and haven't seen ANY FISH on most of them. Those that hold any fish have only a Sucker or two, along with a few TINY Smallies.
The smaller lakes seem more productive than larger lakes.
It appears that the effects of 3 weeks in June of northeast winds and cold temps still lingers.
