Title: Ely area report
Post by: greatoutdoors on August 08/02/11, 08:45:19 PM
The constant warm temps have slowed fishing down in the area.
Smallies are hitting in shallow water, but not much for size.
The larger bass are being caught by anglers trolling for lake trout in excess of 50 FOW.
Most lakes are producing some small pike with a few walleyes scattered in.
When fishing gets like this, the slip bobber with minnow or leech seem to be the best chance for success. :banghead:
