Lee,
This is just another scare tactic by Kevin Proescholdt and the environmentalists to get people up in arms over virtually nothing!!
He makes his living out of this, used to be Executive Director of the Friends of the Boundary Waters until they threw his sorry butt out years ago!!

If I remember correctly the friends threw his butt out of office because he met with the CWCS folks to see if they could improve their relationships. He wanted to take a different approach from the old philosophy of anti you and anti me. He wanted to try and reach some common ground with the CWCS. The friends did not approve of his new approach and fired him.

No, that was John Roth, or something very close, and was replaced with a Melissa Parker Lindsey(?).
He wanted to negotiate with local groups, and that didn't sit well with the environmental hierarchy.
Proescholdt wrote or co authored the book, "Trouble Waters" that caused quite a ruckus within the group.
He left the "Friends of the Boundary Waters" after that and went to Wyoming or Montana to leech off other groups.
Now Paul Danicic (SP) is the new slime ball supremo of the organization, and is totally upset with the new cell tower the court OK'd recently.
