Title: Laptop question
Post by: glenn57 on December 12/13/16, 07:48:45 PM
I'm going to Fargo tomorrow. Thinking of bringing the laptop and nuivi, my question is it will need to sit in the car for 4 to 8 hours. With the temperature as it is, will it damage these gadgets?

Those 400 pounders you call laptops should need no time to warm up.  In fact they should keep you warm.   You may want to leave some food if they are going to be left in the car that long or you might come back and find aseat missing.  Take that Mr baler twine. ;)

I bring mine with me lots of times.  I do bring it inside and let it sit for a long time though too.  If you let it warm up I don't see what would be bad with it.  I am no tech though.

Glen I guess when I bring my computer which is almost always it is in the warm vehicle.  Then I bring it inside when I reach my destination.  I guess I don't leave it outside for long periods when it is this cold.
