Tape the handle on the kitchen faucet spray handle down first thing in the morning. Point the sprayer so that it will spray the person turning on the faucet.
Do not forget that you set the trap and accidentally soak yourself.

My wife started the April Fool's Day prank with me long ago.
It started with her putting salt in the sugar bowl.
After a couple years of that, I tried to get her back with the same prank, but she's not stupid.
From there it went to putting salt into both the sugar bowl and the sugar canister to just plain putting salt in the coffee.
One year I was going to work and there was a note on my steering wheel that said, "I set all the clocks back. You're an hour early. April Fool."
Then there is the goodnight April Fool short-sheet. To "short-sheet" a bed, take the top sheet and covers off. Set the top sheet on the bed and fold the bottom half back under the top half so that the bottom half goes under the pillow and creates a "pocket". Put the covers back on.
Cologne in the toothpaste is not funny, nor is cellophane under the toilet seat, the loose top on the salt and pepper shakers.
Taping down the button on a telephones cradle so that the person can't answer the phone is good for coworkers. Just make sure you're the first person to call so that it doesn't mess with business and your bread and butter.
But, my all time favorite and most reliable is taping down the spray washer. For the last couple of years I came down in the morning and it was already taped. I got myself anyway because I left the tape on and forgot. The person who set the trap got themselves as well. It's harmless, it's funny, and it's especially funny when you get yourself.

not an april fools joke, but i had a freind who had a buddy getting married and wante me to help do a prank on the groom when they went for their honymoon. i got five masive bags of packing peanuts for him, these bags were 5 feet tall with a 4 ft diameter in size, so let say thersnabout 100,000 penuts in each bag. the grooms parents were watchi g the kids and house and were very accomodating to my freind as he proceeded to fill the couple bedroom all five bags of packing peanuts. yeah, went over well. but better than putti g a turkey in the grooms car durring the wedding ceremony, like a first suggested

I've learned from the fil, great guy. The mil whipped up his lunch every day during his working days ,most of the time it was sandwiches, an hard boiled egg and whatever else. But on on April fools the sliced cheese still had the plastic on it ( for those that remember that) and the egg was not hard boiled. Good thing I pack my own lunch..
