Men Caught, Charged with 30 Bass over Limit tut_tut-3315.gif
Two men from Clarksville, Tenn. have been charged with multiple wildlife violations after authorities discovered more than 40 fish in their possession.
35-year-old Mark Steven Jones and 28-year-old Robert Earl Wilridge have been charged with several wildlife violations after Houston County, Tenn. authorities discovered more than 40 fish in their possession.

The men were arrested when a landowner alerted police of two men trespassing on his private property that borders Yellow Creek. Upon approaching the men, they allegedly “mooned” :moon: the landowner and overturned a Porta Potty. tut_tut-3315.gif
According to a news release, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Officer Nick Luper said Jones and Wilridge caught and kept 35 smallmouth bass, three largemouth bass, two red-eyed bass and two channel catfish in just a two-mile stretch of creek.
“The catching and keeping of this amount of smallmouth on such a sensitive smallmouth fishery can have devastating impacts on this creek,” Luper said. “The statewide limit for black bass in (any) combination is only five per person, making the duo 30 bass over the limit.”
Yellow Creek runs through private property and it is required by law to have permission from homeowners before launching or removing a boat. tut_tut-3315.gif

Mark Steven Jones has been charged with three separate counts of exceeding the creel limit of bass, illegal possession of wildlife, fishing on a revoked license due to failure to pay child support and not having a personal flotation device.
The Leaf-Chronicle also reports that Robert Early Wilridge has been charged with three separate counts of exceeding the creel limit of bass, illegal possession of wildlife and not having a personal floatation device.
Bond for both Jones and Wilridge has been set at $1,500.

Prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law and then some. Take all their gear, take their vehicle, their clothes -whatever it takes. Slob overharvesters have no place on the lakes or streams period.
