When I was a kid they use to "rope" off some of the best bluegill spawning areas
 Unfortunately you can't count on people voluntarily leaving them alone during this vulnerable period. This, along with habitat depletion,  has led to where we are today

I never heard of ropin off an area on da water. Although I guess It could work :scratch:  (Interesting)

With buoys and marked no fishing. unfortunately the dnr can't do this while sitting at a desk staring at a monitor.

as much as I love fishing, and eating bluegills………..when there spawning...….I quit fishing them.
 then I concentrate on dem toothy critters!!!!!!! :sleazy: :sleazy: :happy1:
