Title: Super bowl menu
Post by: glenn57 on February 02/04/21, 02:46:15 PM
So, what ya cooking up for the super bowl?? Anything extravagant??

Here at the smurfy household, we kind of decided maybe a frozen pizza or one of them do it yourself box pizzas and chips and a few different dips.

Just gonna be momma, myself and the 2 hounddogs. :happy1: maybe a few refreshments too. :drinking: :drinking:

Gee Glenn you are going all out on this I see.   :rotflmao:   We are going to do our last rack of beef ribs in the oven since it will be so cold.  I slather them with liquid smoke and spices. Not sure on the sides yet.  I have been craving homemade potato salad but not sure that will happen or not.  I will update later.

So far I'm gonna have a couple shrimp rings, jalepeno poppers, stuffed potato skins, chips with our salsa. I'm sure the warden will add a bunch so no one starves. I haven't had a Superbowl Sunday off in 5 years.

Might not be this much this year with only the wife and I. Most years we have our family over and don't even care who wins?  :happy1:

Just put the beef ribs in the oven all wrapped up.  Rubbed them last night.  The potato salad turned out great too!  Mayhaps some Lays potato chips to go with it.

Didn't watch the game but did a huge pork shoulder roast, brind for two day's then lathered it up with mustard and layed a healthy dose of secret dry rub and let it sit for another 24hrs,thank goodness my pit boss pellet grill is inside my 3 season porch as it was to dang cold to fire-up the weber outside, after 4hrs of smoke this roast was my all time best ....plenty of left overs for the week, tonight smoked baked beans with a side of pork flesh.
