Morels!
Almost that time of year again to start looking in another week or two around the cities.
Make sure you know what your looking for and at.
Real Morels are hollow top to bottom when cut in half pictured on the left of double picture. :happy1:
False or "Half morels" are connected on the inside when cut in half and are poisonous, pictured on the right. :puke:
Good Luck. :happy1:

I've seen some posts where people say they are finding some black ones. Seems too early in my spots.
-
Blacks grow mainly in northern MN and I would think it would be way to early for them, since they had snow just last weekend.
-
I have found the black ones down here but mainly yellows. Looking forward to it again.

Starting here in the .metro. Mostly the tiny greys.
I found this on the Facebook.

It's all timing. There is about 2 week window once they start popping, if your not in the woods at the right time you will never see them. It can be a frustrating past time. :bonk:
