Title: New project.
Post by: tangle tooth on June 06/27/22, 11:01:36 AM
Picked up an old, partially assembled rifle a few years ago. I found it again this past weekend. I need to be more organized.
      It's a Sears Ranger. Model 103-13. .22 S-L-LR.
From the little research I've done, it looks to be a Marlin 81. Didn't check out the barrel for grooving. One source suggests it may have been made between 1937 and 1939. Not sure about that. Quite a bit of what appears to be light rusting in a few places. It looks like the furniture needs help, too. It was free so I guess I can't complain a whole lot.
      Anyone familiar with these guns?
