Headed to North Dakota tonight for the pheasant opener. Sounds like it could be a down year according to the NDGNF. probably still to much standing corn and flowers.

Whereabouts in ND did you go? Hunted pheasants down in the Ellendale area there way back.

We have hunted around Elgin for the past 30 years or so. Stay in Lemon SD.

Good luck! The kid and I  quit early,  just a short trip otta town.  Seen lots of birds so it's looking promising for the season. Still quite a bit of corn up in this area.

When i shoot things die however I'm just the guide.  We saw a few but most everything close were hens.

Jealous.

Taking the pup out mid next week for here first “real” pheasant. We’ve hit up a few game farms for training and a couple stints of grouse.

She does good until I miss…then she chases, like forever. We’ve been working on call backs so I guess we need to put it to test now.
