Angler Catches Two 14-Pound Largemouth Bass in One Day on O.H. Ivie Lake (https://www.fieldandstream.com/fishing/angler-catches-two-14-pound-largemouth-bass-in-one-day-on-o-h-ivie-lake/)

So what is it with everyone who catches a big fish thinks they need to make it look bigger by holding their arms way out?

If you catch a REALLY big fish, hold that sucker right next to your chest so we can all SEE how really big it is.  :doah:

Any fool can make a 4 lb bass look like a wall-hanger with the right camera angle.

Guides need 'em big to drum up business. I understand kids getting their fish photo'd, I think most times adults look stupid. Kind of like scoring a touchdown and doing a idiot dance, look like you've been there before.

That walleye is almost as big as he is!   :puke:

Angler Catches Massive 16-Pound Walleye While Ice Fishing on Lake Ontario (https://www.fieldandstream.com/fishing/ice-fishing-walleye/)

Ed Green's catch is one of the biggest walleyes ever landed by an ice angler in the region

I also ran into this great tip from GrandpaTom today.  :)

I may have to try this and I'm sure a few others might do it too.

Huge Louisiana Largemouth Is One of the Top 10 Biggest Bass Ever Recorded in the State OutdoorLife.com (https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/huge-louisiana-bass/)

The big bass weighed more than 15 pounds and was just shy of the state record

If you compare the size of the fish to the guy, you'd think the fish weighed 40 pounds!

I wonder if Ed Green is related to Red Green?

I realize calling out these hero pics is a case I'm not going to win.

Fishermen have been doing this since the invention of the camera, and my opinion ain't goona affect one of them.  :banghead:

So God bless 'em for catching big fish.  :fishing: Maybe one day I'll have a pic worth publishing in a magazine.  (But I hope GT gets one first. ;) )

Now THIS is the way to take a Hero Pic.  None of that hold-the-fish-out-at-arms-length-to-make-it-look-bigger for this one.    ;) :happy1: :rotflmao:

Another worthy Hero Pic by an angler who doesn't need to try and make her fish look bigger than it already is!
