I have thrown some away cuz I didn't know anyone wanted them. I got me some 4' led lights to replace the old fluorescent ones at Big M a few years ago. They had some that have bluetooth speakers in them. About $35 I bought one and it works great. Sounds better than I thought they would. I just go in and turn KFAN or my favorite music channels from I Heart. All free.

With tears in my eyes I just gave away my Sony receiver, Sony 5 disc changer and huge speakers. Have been in the closet for 19 years so decided I don't need them anymore. Man were they great in their day.

Now you are talking the dumpster diver's language.

Copy your cd’s to the cloud, or a digital device, then you can get rid of them. You can stream to a blue tooth speaker. Throw the cassettes in the garbage.

Funny story, both ha ha funny and odd funny. A couple weeks ago the warden and I were test driving a Honda Pilot. I asked the salesman if I could play my cd's in it. You should have seen the look he gave me! I recovered quickly saying I was just kidding. The warden helped a bunch saying "No you weren't". Too funny. :oops1:

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: Back when I got my truck I told my 78 year old buddy it doesn't have a CD player and he couldn't believe it. He Just bought a unit to turn his cassettes into CD's. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

That's to bad, I just gave away a Denon receiver ( cuz it wasn't HDMI compatable) woulda been a great addition to one's garage for rocking some tunes, and it rocked. You gotta get away from old school, I know I'm stuck with cd's and cassettes that are useless..

Send me your cd's if you don't want them. They work good in the shop.

I have a good bunch of cd's and cassettes, postage would be a killer... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I use a fire tablet to steam music in my shop. $30 new and tossed all my CD’s. Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube gets me by. I have an extra receiver you can have to power the speakers with. Personally I think in a garage you need multiple 15”+ drivers.

I just checked the ol' craigslist... Folks are askin' $40/50 bucks for old boom boxes.
Ya gotta believe those things get tossed in the trash all the time. I'm in the market for one too, for the same reason - garage radio - but my plan is to wait 'til I see once for under $20 at Goodwill. Half of the fun is in the hunt, anyway. ;)
-
my setup is currently with inside the garage speakers and outdoor speakers, kinda like to keep it that way. i dont think those boomboxes are set up to run speakers from????
-
Prolly not. Still, I'd play the Goodwill game. G'luck.
-
Would like more tunes on the shop. If any of you really want to part with your cd's I'd certainly pay shipping in a usps flat rate box of the appropriate size plus whatever price we can agree on.
