Title: Diesel heater.
Post by: tangle tooth on October 10/29/24, 10:33:24 PM
Thinking of ways to heat up my shop when it gets a little too cool out there. I'm usually not out there much more than an hour or so. The shop is about 20' x 30' give or take. Not air tight.

Does anyone have any advice to offer concerning what to look for and look out for? Good or bad experiences?

Are they very portable? I was wondering if I could move it to the fur shed if I'm going to be doing much out there.

      Thanks.

my uninsulated garage is about your size. i use a propane nipco heater when i want to be out there when its cold. works for me. if i'm out there any extended period of time i also use a fan pointed up into the rafters to move that warm air.

i usually pass on spending time out there if its below 0!!!!!!

I've got a couple of those heaters but I usually burn #2 diesel in them. The larger one is 125,000 but on high setting. More than I need. Noisy, too.
The smaller heater needs a new igniter. I need to look for one. I'll get right on that.

Alcohol causes brain damage? Never affected me. Maybe I should grab a beer and think about this.
