Title: Fishing in S/SE MN?

Looking for someone to ice fish with a couple of weekends this winter in the Owatonna, Rochester, Faribault or Albert Lea areas.

Sounds good Pat. Weekends are normally the best time for me with my late work schedule during the week. Let's hook up some weekend soon. The only one that does not work for me right now is weekend of Jan 18th-20th.

I'm from Faribault

I love Mazaska lake there good Panfish sunfish n some crappies
but monster Northerns avg. 25 to 38 inches with my 2lbs test line with wax worm for panfish but northerns n bass n walleyes hit wax worm... i ice fishing deep only 8 to 9 feet deep by weedless line...
i always went every weekend... Friday morning after i work 8am

Let's try to hook up in the Faribault area letgofishing...sounds like you know Mazaska well. We'll get Pat down too and see if we can haul some of them monster Northerns in. Sound good? I'll try to get a couple dates together and pm ya to see when would work for you.  :fishing:

I'm in. I love fishing Mazaska and the drive isn't so bad from the Metro.

I plans go ice fishing on Friday morning after I work 8am then go home change clothes then zoom to Mazaska lake ice fishing around 9am till 2pm
I will be @ Nagel's live bait store. @ 8 30am...
I'm deaf and write papers but We'll busy ice fishing forever... ha.

i will update to u guys! that i going to ice fishing Tomorrow (Thurs.) morning 9am to 2pm around... i will be at Mazaska lake, in Faribault on North side... 9 feet deep by weedless line for Panfish

@ Mazaska Lake Yesterday (Sunday)
We went ice fishing out there we kick alots Crappies n some Sunfish
we keep good size 27 crappies,  one bigger 14 inches Crappie
also saw one guy caught over 18 inches crappie COOL!!

Thanks for the update, sounds like a great day was had on the ice. We have been dealing with alot of extra things going on at home the past couple weeks, but I hope to get out with you very soon. I'll be in touch when I have some time letgofishing!  ;)

Last Sat....
My Son DJ n I got limits 20 nice crappies n We Released OVER 30 nice crappies too
20 crappies limits in ONE HOUR... We stay all DAY fun fun Released fish... here's pic.

Last Sunday and Monday (Yesterday) we got limits 4 peoples 40 CRAPPIES @ Mazaska Lake with NO Bait....

Hello,

Last Sat. my 2 friends n I got 40 nice sunfish n 8 nice crappies n 3 big Bass...
We RELEASED lots fish... On Mazaska Lake...
on hump bar 17 feet deep. love it fight BASS yahoo!!!
I planning go there on Friday n Sat. n Sun.

Mazaska Lake Still HOTTEST bites Crappies between 10 to 13 inches 28 to 34 feet deep
also Sunfish AVG. 6 to 8 inches Yesterday (3/09/08 8 to 16 feet deep
This Weekend should be GREAT biting!!!!

Anybody else miss the ice season?  Sheesh, I did not get out NEARLY enough this year!!! :banghead:
