Title: Need a new starting battery - what's best?
Post by: Fawkinnae on May 05/08/13, 06:15:42 PM
Hi Guys - I think my starting battery is a goner. It was a DieHard and lasted 5 years - not bad. Any suggestions as to what you think is the best starting battery and who sells them.
Thanks

Did you leave it in your boat?  ;D Tip next time take them out this way they will not freezes up,  most battery 5 years is good, I just got two last fall at L&M fleet  and I was in there the other day and they still had them 49.00 was the price, with two year replacement,  I just put the back in the boat Monday,  :happy1:

Actually I've done it both ways and didn't notice a big difference in longevity. I do charge them throughout the winter.
