Title: An afternoon of puttering
Post by: Rebel SS on January 01/12/20, 03:04:08 PM
Decided to get some use out of some antique stuff I've had packed away for safekeeping over the years. So I hauled out the old kerosene lanterns, antique fish rods/reels/tackle from the 30's and 40's, old bait cans, outdoor mementos, pics, etc. Even found my Faribault wool blanket from the 50's my Dad would put down on the ground when we had lunch during fishing.
So of course, ended up re-doing the entire "man cave" downstairs....now it's like walking into a 1960's cabin up north!  Actually, just what I wanted!  That's what happens when ya start "puttering"...:azn:

That's Gen-u-wine 1967 birds eye paneling! Antique too!  Only thing I left when I redid everything three years ago.

Nice work, I really like some of this old stuff.  Well, for some of us it's just stuff we used.

Thanks guys. Just about every item brings back some type of good memory...of my Dad, past trips, etc.  It's my happy place of days gone by.  Always been kind of a sentimental hoarder of stuff.

I am thinking of getting rid of some of my antiques lures though....all are in original boxes, some with the instructions Bass-o-reno, Moonlight jig, Heddon chrome ruby eye spoon, set of 5 orignal Lazey Dazey, 1943 River Runt snagless, Heddon white Hi-tail whale, etc.
Anyone interested, PM me.
